คำสั่งแสดงข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับ name server จาก ip หรือ domain name | nslookup - query Internet name servers interactively | คำสั่งนี้ ถูกประกาศว่าต่อไปอาจไม่พบใน Redhat รุ่นใหม่ ถ้าต้องการใช้คำสั่งแบบนี้สามารถใช้ dig หรือ host แทนได้
เช่น host yn1.yonok.ac.th หรือ dig yn1.yonok.ac.th
เมื่อเข้าไปใน nslookup สามารถออกมาได้ด้วยการพิมพ์คำสั่ง exit หลังเครื่องหมาย >
